This report was commissioned by Australian Education International (AEI) in the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). It disseminates the outcomes from a National Symposium: English Language Competence of International Students, held on 14 August 2007 in Sydney. AEI contracted the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) to manage the Symposium project.
