The DEEWR -funded resource is a synthesis of orientation best practice to help professionals give students a comprehensive orientation to their institution and life in Australia.
Topics include tips on settling in, studying and social and cultural information.
The colour coded design makes it easy for staff to insert relevant local content and to match topics with students’ needs, as well as branding the guide with their institution’s name.
The Rainbow Guide is an excellent resource to help providers disseminate essential safety information to students. Almost one third is dedicated to safety issues, including emergency contacts, laws & safety in Australia, home security, personal safety, public transport safety, home, fire safety & beach safety.
Information can be downloaded by section, page or the complete document. It can also be used for giving follow-up orientations.
