AEI’s leadership changes

Wednesday, 10 September 2008

Ms Fiona Buffinton, CEO announced changes to the group’s leadership team.
Two new faces have joined AEI’s leadership team in a wider restructuring of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), where AEI is part of its International Group.

  • Ms Ms Tulip Chaudhury has taken up the role of Branch Manager, International Quality Branch.
  • Mr Scott Evans will manage the Multilateral, Middle East, South and South East Asia Branch.

Ms Linda Laker has moved to head up the International Strategy Branch. Ms Di Weddell will continue her role as Manager of the North Asia, Americas and Europe Branch.

DEEWR’s international function has been broadened to include international employment and labour market relationships and is now placed in a new cluster covering higher education, vocational education and youth.

‘This is an excellent fit,’ says Fiona Buffinton, CEO of AEI. ‘It will ensure we continue to improve the whole department’s ability to progress a wide range of international education policy and program initiatives and better meet the needs of the sector.’
