International Network - Kuala Lumpur

	Mr Adam Carlon Counsellor (Education) Kuala Lumpur Post Jurisdiction: Malaysia and Brunei   Mr Adam Carlon was appointed as Counsellor (Education) Kuala Lumpur in November 2006. Prior to his current appointment Adam was Director of the ESOS Reforms Taskforce in the International Quality Branch of the International Education Group in DEST.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Victoria University and a Master of Public Policy from the Australian National University. Since joining DEST in 2001, Adam has been involved in international qualifications recognition and internationalisation policy development, and has also represented the International Education, Higher Education and Science Groups as the Departmental Liaison Officer in the office of the Minister for Education, Science and Training. Prior to joining DEST, Mr Carlon co-ordinated and managed international student support services and the AusAID Australian Development Scholarships programme for the Australian National University. He has also been a National Executive Council Member for ISANA: International Education Association, where he held the position of Communications Manager.
